Additional jobs are a hypothetical monthly average, including fractional jobs—not a guaranteed job count.
These figures are hypothetical gross revenue estimates based on the information you enter. They are not guaranteed results or predictions of GRIT Seller's performance. Actual results depend on your business, demand, capacity, pricing, and other factors.
Gross revenue is not profit. This model assumes consistent estimate volume, average job value and win rate over 12 months. It does not account for seasonality, cancellations, project costs, labor capacity, collections or changes in demand.

Your estimate win rate is the share of estimates that become paying jobs. If 3 out of 10 estimates turn into jobs, your win rate is 30%: 3 ÷ 10 × 100. Compare estimates from a consistent period or group of customers, and allow time for decisions. This contractor estimate calculator uses that rate together with monthly estimate volume and average job value to model revenue scenarios.
How Can Contractors Improve Their Estimate Win Rate?
Make the scope, price and next steps easy to understand. Respond promptly to questions, follow up consistently and keep track of open opportunities in your contractor sales pipeline. Review why customers accept or decline estimates so you can identify issues to address. None of these processes guarantees a higher close rate, and taking on more jobs also requires sufficient capacity.
Why Does Following Up on Estimates Matter?
Customers may still be comparing options, working through timing or waiting for an answer. Contractor estimate follow-up keeps those open opportunities visible and gives customers a chance to ask questions or make a decision. A clear next step helps your team know when to check in and when an opportunity is no longer active.
How Does GRIT Help Manage Contractor Sales?
GRIT organizes leads, site visits, estimates and follow-up in one workflow. Your team stays in control of final pricing and bid approval. Depending on the package, GRIT can also help with first-touch communication, scheduling and repeat revenue opportunities. Explore the demo and pricing to see the actual workflow and package differences; the calculator's hypothetical improvement is not a forecast of GRIT's impact.
Contractor Revenue Calculator FAQs
What is a good estimate win rate for a contractor?
There is no single win rate that fits every contractor. Performance varies by trade, job type, pricing, lead source and business model. Establish your own baseline, compare similar types of work and track changes over time.
How do I calculate my estimate win rate?
Divide the number of estimates you won by the total number of estimates in the same group, then multiply by 100. For example, 6 jobs won from 20 estimates is a 30% win rate. Use a consistent definition of a won job and give customers enough time to decide before measuring.
How can I win more of the estimates I send?
Start with clear scopes, understandable pricing, prompt responses and consistent follow-up. Keep open estimates organized so you know which customers need an answer or a next step. These practices can support a better sales process, but they do not guarantee that you will win more work.
Does the calculator show actual lost revenue?
No. It compares your current assumptions with a hypothetical higher win rate. The difference is potential additional gross revenue under those assumptions, not money that has already been lost, profit or revenue that is guaranteed to be recovered.
Is the calculator free?
Yes. You can use the calculator and view every result without creating an account or providing an email address. Your entries are not submitted or saved by this tool.
Can GRIT guarantee an improvement in my win rate?
No. The improvement is a scenario you choose, not a prediction or promise of GRIT Seller's performance. Actual results depend on your business, demand, capacity, pricing and other factors.
